The Blimp is a personal music catalog redesigned by Isabel Moranta and Yannis Yannakopoulos, featuring user-friendly navigation and a post-rock-inspired aesthetic. It showcases the latest music releases, interviews, and videos, with interactive elements like a red scribble mouse effect and a unique album cover preloader. Built on WordPress with GSAP for animation, The Blimp offers an immersive experience without background music, focusing on album exploration through labels, artists, and release dates.

Born in Michigan and growing up in Arizona, I was exposed to many extremes: colors, aesthetics, and cultures. My earliest memories are of me sitting at the kitchen table, drawing, (always drawing...) Early sketches of Arizona’s dramatic beauty led me to discover visual communications in college, where creativity meets practical application. My career, from local projects to top-tier collaborations, has been filled with invaluable lessons and challenges.

Despite recent setbacks, my commitment remains unwavering. Each project pushes my creative boundaries and inspires me to grow (even now). As I enter a new phase of my career with the introduction of AI (“The robots are coming!! The robots are coming!!”) where clients want it cheaper (how about free?!), faster, and blander, I am more committed than ever to figjt the good fight, and continue my journey as a designer. The stakes to stand out and make a meaningful difference in this space have never been higher. And, I am just getting started.
